Cambridge, Massachusetts-based software company Pegasystems has confirmed acquiring business analytics and data visualization platform Infruid Labs, a 2011 founded company for an undisclosed sum. Interestingly, Pegasystems had put their acquisition request earlier as well.
Pegasystems' Kerim Akgonul, commenting on the acquisition said, “Data holds the keys to any business strategy, but many organizations don’t have the right tools to gain timely insights and understand what’s working for them and what isn’t. This acquisition will allow Pega clients to glean even more value from their data with an easy-to-use visual interface that yields instant results, so organizations can remain focused on building strategies that are best for their business and their customers.” Infruid Labs' one of the major product, Vizard helps clients readout patterns in large data sets. Users can ask questions in English to the Vizard and it will present a visual insight as a response.
Infruid Labs founder Mahesh Yellai who is set to join Pegasystems as senior director of data & analytics commenting on the acquisition said, “Pega continues to be at the forefront of innovation in AI, decisioning, and analytics, and I am thrilled that Infruid’s advanced business intelligence and visualization capabilities will be an integral part of Pega’s digital transformation solutions.”
Through the deal, Pegasystems will help their clients have a holistic and streamlined way of interpreting the data. Pegasystems was started in 1983 and offers solutions for industries such as marketing, sales automation, customer service, and operations across the globe. The company claims to have more than 4500 employees with 300 offices across the world.
