Landing pages are a very important aspect of any website. A number of people consider is just another thing and tend to ignore the same. However Instapage, a company which claims to be the most powerful landing page building software has raised $15 million funding from Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital.
The company had earlier raised $2 million in a seed round funding but according to Quick, when they were looking for the series A round, a number of VC’s were not ready to give the expected valuations to the firm. However, Quick felt that Morgan Stanley was interested in understanding the functioning of the firm and that made Quick to believe as well.
Pete Chung, the head of Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, while talking about their investment said, “We’re confident that this next phase of growth will further establish Instapage as the authority on converting ad clicks and optimizing conversions, and we look forward to working with Instapage to bring post-click optimization to a larger audience.”
Tyson Quick had founded the firm in 2012 which now acts as a platform for creating and testing the landing pages which are aimed at a different segment of visitors. The landing pages help in ad-conversions and that is where Instapage comes in the picture.
While talking about his company, Quick said, “We can be this middleware between ad tech and traditional marketing and sales tech.” “All this technology has made it so the ad-buying side has sophisticated targeting and relevancy. And once you capture a lead, you’ve got marketing automation that pushes them into your CRM. It’s the point of conversion that’s missing,” says the CEO of the company.
According to the company, they now have over 15,000 customers using their platform for the landing page creation and interestingly, it says that most of them are seeing 22 percent growth in their income.
