New York-based SaaS enterprise customer service platform Kustomer has announced that it has raised $60 million in Series E round funding led by Coatue. The round also saw participation from Tiger Global Management and Battery Ventures.
In its Series D round, the firm had secured $40 million earlier in May when Tiger Global Management led the round. The current infusion takes the total amount secured by the firm to $173.5 million. Cisco Investments, Social Leverage, Redpoint, Canaan Partners are few of the other notable names who have infused sum in the company.
Founded in 2015 by Brad Birnbaum, Jeremy Suriel, the company had built a customer service platform that helps companies manage their inquiries from buyers more efficiently. The firm counts brands like Glossier, Ring, ThirdLove, Rent the Runway, Sweetgreen, Glovo, Away and UNTUCKit as their customers.
Birnbaum, the CEO of the firm through a statement said that “Kustomer is transforming customer service as we know it. At a time when consumers want intelligent, personalized attention, the most forward-looking companies are turning to Kustomer to help them exceed expectations. We are seeing rapid adoption over legacy brands like Salesforce and Zendesk and are in a position of strength across all key business metrics as we raise our Series E. With this latest fundraising, we plan to continue our global expansion and will invest heavily to help our clients deliver exceptional customer service.”
Talking about the investment from Coatue Birnbaum terms the VC firm as “one of the most modern and prolific investors." Birnbaum reckons that the investment from Coatue is opening doors for Kustomer as it continues to scale.
