Chennai-based startup Disprz which provides employee development and engagement platform for the companies has raised $2.5 million (Rs 16.5 Crore) in their Series A round funding. The funding round was led by IL&FS Private Equity. The funding round saw participation from Kae Capital who had already backed the firm in January last year through an undisclosed amount of funding.
The company wishes to use the fresh fund in increasing their data science capabilities while they work out on a plan to grow their overseas business.
Talking about the company, Viswanathan said that “Companies which have a lot of knowledge workers in their payroll and R&D need to be constantly upgraded. We do it with frontline workers who face customers. We train them through the app, onboard, communicate and engage (with them) on our platform.”

The company has been operating from offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Middle East and the US. The clientele of the company includes Naspers, Mahindra, Motilal Oswal, Chaayos, Quess Corp and Thyrocare to name a few.
The software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform aims to make the workforce of the enterprises more knowledgeable, productive and smarter with the help of technology.
Kae Capital’s Shubhankar Bhattacharya, a venture partner said that “Having won our early clients in the US, we now have a clear roadmap to go deeper in the US market."
